Plain language. What FishEdge collects, why, and what it does with it.

What we collect

Account data

If you apply for the Captain Pilot or sign up for the dashboard, we collect the information you submit (name, email, home port, role, current planning workflow) plus the standard authentication metadata (sign-in time, IP for abuse prevention). That's it.

Dashboard usage

Anonymous, aggregated usage events (which layers were enabled, which features got clicked) to understand what captains actually use. No raw screen captures, no reading of your saved waypoints. If you save a waypoint, it stays in your account.

Feedback you submit

Anything you submit via the in-dashboard feedback widget or the public feedback form is stored with your email. Used to shape the product. Not sold, not shared.

What we don't collect

  • Your precise vessel location or track.
  • Your catch data.
  • Anything from your email or contacts.
  • Third-party tracking pixels, ad networks, or session-replay services.

Where data lives

The dashboard runs on Cloudflare Pages with Supabase for authentication and a Cloudflare D1 database for pilot applications and feedback. Both are managed services with standard encryption at rest and in transit.

Cookies

One functional cookie for sign-in state. No analytics cookies. No third-party cookies. If your browser blocks cookies, sign-in won't persist across sessions but everything else works.

Your data, your call

Email captains@fishedge.live to:

  • Export your account data.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Ask a question about anything above.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, it will be noted on the /blog and the change will be dated at the top. No silent edits.
